Sinead Mooney

Spelthorne Borough Councillor for the  Ashford North and Stanwell South Ward and Surrey County Councillor for the Staines Division

Sinead won the election to represent the Staines Division of Surrey County Council in the 4th May 2017 election with a 737 majority.

Sinead has lived in Ashford for 10 years and is married with two daughters both of whom attend local schools.

With a diverse professional background, including working in local government, Sinead’s areas of expertise are in supporting vulnerable residents, championing older people and extensive experience in social housing, including homelessness. She has also had experience in dealing with matters relating to tackling anti-social behaviour.

Sinead is passionate about her local community and is a well-known community activist. This can be seen in her role as Secretary of the Ashford North Residents Association and her involvement in a local youth charity.

Very merry Meals on Wheels

Councillors and London Irish donate gifts for Meals on Wheels customers

Spelthorne Borough Council has been working with local councillors and London Irish Rugby Club to give the Borough's Meals on Wheels customers some thoughtful treats this Christmas.

Local Election Results May 2017

Spelthorne Conservatives have won 6 of the 7 local seats on Surrey County Council - only losing Stanwell to Labour. They also won the by-election for a seat on Spelthorne Borough Council

Very merry meals on wheels

Cllr Maureen Attewell and thirteen fellow councillors* have joined together to donate £2050 from their Better Neighbourhood Grants to fund a selection of gifts which will be given to Meals on Wheels customers in the run up to Christmas and on Christmas Day itself.
