Surrey County Council has abandoned plans to close the Town Lane station in April ahead of the expected mid-2018 opening of the new £3.7 million Fordbridge Road site.
KWASI KWARTENG, the Conservative MP for the Spelthorne seat that includes Kempton Park, has been among those to voice opposition to the plan to close the track when the matter was discussed in the House of Commons on Thursday. Racing Post 12/1/2017
