Richard Walsh

Richard Walsh is the Surrey County Councillor for Laleham and Shepperton

Cabinet Member for Localities and Community Wellbeing on Surrey County Council

Richard was re-elected to Surrey County Council on 4th May 2017 with a 1506 majority

I have lived in Shepperton for 30 years and I am married with two grown up children.

I have been a member of the Shepperton Rotary Club for 16 years which does charitable work within the local community as well as internationally.

I am a member of St. Nicholas Church congregation and I am involved in their social and community activities.

I was actively involved in working with the community to stop the car parking meters in Shepperton High Street.

Also I actively campaigned to keep the Shepperton Library as a fully manned Surrey library.

I am supporting resident’s campaigns against gravel raising at both Manor Farm in Laleham and Watersplash Farm in Shepperton, to ensure that the minimum inconvenience is caused to residents should gravel extraction be agreed by the planning committee.
