Nick Gething

Spelthorne Borough Councillor for the Ashford Town ward

Nick is a solicitor specialising in commercial property and working in Staines. He is married with three children, one of which is still in a school in the borough.

Since being elected he has been a member of the cabinet and has served as portfolio holder for planning, economic development, fixed assets, waste and the environment.

He is currently serving on the licencing and code of conduct committees, and when on planning opposed the initial Brooklands development application.

He was previously a town councillor in Weston-Super-Mare before moving to Ashford.

In Ashford he is a member of St Hilda’s church and St Hilda’s entertainers, and is also a member of Spelthorne Swans BN1 branch.

Nick was re-elected as a Conservative Councillor for the Ashford Town ward in the 2 May 2019 local election

Very merry meals on wheels

Cllr Maureen Attewell and thirteen fellow councillors* have joined together to donate £2050 from their Better Neighbourhood Grants to fund a selection of gifts which will be given to Meals on Wheels customers in the run up to Christmas and on Christmas Day itself.
