Joanne Sexton: I have lived in Spelthorne since 1968 and I have seen this borough transform, I attended The Laurels School in Clarendon Road Ashford where my children also attended, they then moved to Senior School in the borough and still reside here.
I work full time as a Procurement Manager purchasing food and packaging.
I became a Councillor in 2011 and have met many residents' concerns and delivered solutions to improve the quality of their lives and improve local surroundings. I project led the Dog Fouling campaign and lobbied South West Trains and Network rail along with our MP to refurbish Ashford Train Station. Liaised with residents on the replanting of Scott Freeman Gardens and initiated Ashford North Resident Association (ANRA) giving the residents a stronger presence.
I look forward to continuing to serve and support my residents in Ashford and Stanwell for the next four years.
Joanne was elected as a Conservative Councillor for the Ashfard North and Stanwell South ward in the 2 May 2019 local election
