Jean Pinkerton

Having been a Staines South councillor from 2003 – 2015 I am currently a councillor for Staines Town ward. I have lived in the borough for 40 years, have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. I retired as a headteacher in 2012 and then was a part- time consultant for schools until 2017.

Before becoming Deputy Mayor in 2017, and currently Mayor in 2018, I held various Cabinet portfolios in Communications, Independent Living and Housing. I also chaired the Spelthorne Education Action Group for 3 years until last year.

Cllr Maureen Attewell and thirteen fellow councillors* have joined together to donate £2050 from their Better Neighbourhood Grants to fund a selection of gifts which will be given to Meals on Wheels customers in the run up to Christmas and on Christmas Day itself. Our wedding in May 1964 coincided with the completion of our first house in Shepperton. We moved to Upper Halliford in 1974. I am a Chartered Aeronautical Engineer and my wife worked for British Airways. I have travelled world on Technical aerospace/airline/military meetings.

By profession, Niki is a web developer/programmer and marketing specialist, running her own consultancy since 2001, which helps start-ups and small and medium-sized businesses.

She has been a supporter of the Conservative Party since her University days.

She moved to Sunbury almost twenty years ago when she joined LOSRA.
