Surrey County Council's consultation on shaping Surrey community recycling centres (CRCs) was the subject of an extraordinary meeting of Spelthorne's Overview and Scrutiny committee held on 31 July.

Sniffer dog to highlight illegal tobacco trade

Sniffer dog, Phoebe, will showcase her skills at a roadshow in Staines on 16 August.

Phoebe will join trading standards and public health teams in Redhill, Woking, Staines and Guildford this month as part of a crackdown on the counterfeit tobacco trade.

Spelthorne secures conviction for fly-tipper

Spelthorne Borough Council has secured the conviction of a man who dumped unsightly rubbish in the Borough and who was found to be illegally trading in waste and scrap metal.

Kwasi visited local company Dnata

On the 21st July Kwasi visited local company Dnata based in Stanwell.

Dnata employ around 2000 at their Heathrow operation and are one of the major employers in our borough.

Kwasi was given a tour of the Dnata City operation and discussed local issues faced by the company.
