Conservative councillor and the present Mayor of Spelthorne Suzy Webb is to retire, having decided not to stand in May's Borough Council election.

DIY Operation Clean-up A30 – A job well done

On Saturday 14th March, Ashford North Residents Association (ANRA), local residents and Kwasi Kwarteng MP assembled for a community clean-up operation along the A30 in Ashford, an important road on the entry into the Borough. The clean-up was a great a great success and was well attended. More than 20 local residents turned up on the day to get stuck in. There was a great community spirit and a lot was achieved. The difference that has been made is now clearly visible to passing traffic.
